Record “likes”

Apparently, on Wednesday, March 18, I set a new record for “likes” with 27.  Much of that was thanks to Linda‘s One-Liner Wednesday, along with the fact that I published two re-blogs that day. Maybe my visitors prefer other people’s writing to mine?  😉

  1. Aw… I think we ALL play the “ratings” game, searching through those statistics like a kid waiting to open a present on Christmas day. Just remember, sometimes people like stuff without searching out and pressing that “like” button. I know I have people who follow my blog through venues other than WordPress, and they don’t show up here. I know they read the blog, they discuss things with me! So take heart, and keep up the good work, and don’t let the numbers drive you crazy.

    1. Thanks, KE! It is funny because I have seldom looked at my stats over these past few months as I’ve been dealing with a lot of in-person demands, but my little notification star was flashing at me today, so I clicked it and saw the announcement about the record likes. As you say, I know a number of people who read my blog but would never click like or write a comment here, although they will talk to me or comment on FB. I’m hoping that things are finally easing up a bit so that I have more time to post. A big part of the likes on Wednesday was also that I had three posts go up at different times of day, which catches different people’s attention as well. Thank you for the encouragement!

    1. Thanks, Judy! I admit that my biggest accomplishment is just keeping things going. I’m not really into chasing after stats right now. Maybe if life ever gets boring… 😉

  2. I have a feeling our lives will never be boring. We will enjoy the quiet moments rather than being bored by them. As far as re-blogs, it’s your choices that people like. You chose well and you write important stuff of your own too. I will try to keep up with it better and let you know.

    1. Thanks, JoAnne. I really do have a slew of things that I want to write about and a few things that I want to re-post with photos added, but there have just been too many real-life complications for me to manage it. I’m afraid to even make a statement about when I will get to anything because, as soon as I do, someone else will get sick. It’s unnerving.
