In a Lent and Holy Week that have been less-than-optimal for me spiritually, I appreciated Father Reese’s honesty and perspective, especially about the theology surrounding the crucifixion.

  1. This year on Palm Sunday our church chose to offer the Eucharist during the reading about the Last Supper. I so appreciated this. All these years, I’ve been invited to participate in the guilt of the crucifixion scene but never invited to share in the community of the Last Supper. Hope your Easter was a nice one.

    1. Thanks, Ellen. I did have a nice Easter. Thank you for sharing the story of your Palm Sunday. In my church, the last supper is commemorated on Thursday evening. It is my favorite liturgy of the year, but I missed it this year due to health issues.I was happy to make the Easter vigil service on Saturday night, which is always very moving.
