When a loved one dies and leaves us behind, there is a lot to do, which can make one too busy to write. This is very short because I just finished a long-for-me post about the remembrances for my mom. There is a lot to do today, so I will leave it at that.

Trying to carve out some meaningful time, although life is complicated in a lot of ways. I need to get my act together to get ready for a long-planned trip to sing in Slovenia next month. I’m lucky that I’ve sung both pieces we are doing before, as my preparation time has been pretty limited.

I hope you will enjoy the singing. It sure does help me.

Singing is wonderful, although I’m a bit concerned about keeping my act together singing a requiem. My spouse will be traveling with us, which should help. My college roommate is going to be there, too; in a twist of fate, she also lost her mother a few days before I lost mine. I’m anxious to give her a hug.

Clearly, this trip is meant to be. I’m glad you have such a friend and husband.
