I appreciate Sister Joan’s wisdom so much! Silence has been getting harder and harder to come by in our busy, noisy world. Sometimes, we can be silent ourselves and have reflection time, even if there is background noise or music going on.

That’s lovely. Part of the silence which Sister Joan is advocating involves listening. You know how some people love to hear themselves talk when it would be better if they were silent and listening to others.
