Jenny Holzer is an artist who often uses provocative statements in her artwork. Some of her statements are used on shirts and mugs and such as cultural statements. MASS MoCA (Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art) has quite a few of her works on display, including outdoor stone benches with statements carved into them. I have attended a week-long poetry residency with my friends in the Boiler House Poets Collective there each of the past five years, so I have had time to interact with her art. I have a few other quotes of her that I plan to use for One-Liner Wednesdays in the future. And, yes, TMI!
