Election Day

B and I baked an election day pie early this morning with an important message: VOTE! We did early voting last week and will be watching television coverage as the returns begin to come in this evening, by which time our tummies will be full of our fruits-of-the-forest pie. Today’s rendition is made with apples, raspberries, blueberries, and rhubarb.

    1. I’m so hoping for a good result for the US and our many friends around the world. My daughter in the UK is trying to adjust to hearing US election coverage from a different perspective. I admit it’s hard for me to grasp how important the US election is to people in other countries; the US has such an out-sized influence.

    1. Yay! It’s nice that you have such good tracking capabilities for your ballot. Our in-person early votes will be part of the tally in our county this evening. I’m wondering what the election day lines at polling places are like here. I’m hoping they are reasonable because the weather is chilly, damp, and windy.

            1. I think it’s going to be okay. None of the legal challenges from the Trump campaign seem viable. It seems that there should be enough electoral college votes for Biden decided by the end of the week. Of course, it takes time for the states to certify and the electoral college won’t meet until Dec., but things look good for Biden/Harris.
