    1. Why weren’t there more arrests? Why wasn’t the Capitol better protected?

I’m grateful Congress accepted the Biden-Harris electoral college win, but am appalled that so many members voted to bolster baseless conspiracy theories about the election.

      1. The arrests are slow. Some people believe it’s because the rioters are white conservatives. On the other hand, I was pleasantly surprised that some republican objectors came to their senses and accepted reality. Now, if they will only condemn the violence.

        1. I would hope they would also repudiate all the lies about the integrity of the election and state their intent to use their positions to cooperate in serving the needs of the people. We need to have a functioning federal government to get out of the pit we are mired in at the moment.

    1. I had been worried that there would be violence, but I never thought it would reach the Capitol and that it would be breached so easily. It is so horrible and the threats still exist, especially for the 19th and 20th. It’s terrifying.
