Helpful Hint: A good, multi-layered cloth mask makes an excellent eye shield if you need to try to sleep under bright lights. (discovered during an emergency room visit with Paco Sunday night/Monday morning)

The IV fluids helped a lot. He is actually going to be moved back to this continuing care community from his current location in their sister facility on Friday. Here’s hoping they will be more attentive and able to put together a good rehab plan for him.

LOL! As luck would have it, he had been sleeping before he went to the ER, so his hearing aids were not in. A definite blessing in disguise as the ER noise wasn’t bothering him.

Unfortunately, it’s going to be a long haul for my father. It’s going to be a while before the bones heal and it’s hard to tell how much of the cognitive function that was lost with his falls is recoverable.
